RAL Gütegemeinschaft Rohrbefestigung e.V.

The Gütegemeinschaft Rohrbefestigung e.V. is an across-the-board organisation of producers aimed at addressing the task of creating a set of engineering rules and regulations covering quality assurance and quality control. Since December 2003, it has been officially recognized by RAL - the German Institute for Quality Assurance and Certification.

The members are German and foreign providers of pipe fixing systems and the strengths of the Gütegemeinschaft Rohrbefestigung e.V. lies in its neutrality and it is under no obligation to any single producer.

The quality mark is given only to those products which fully meet its stringent requirements in accordance with RAL GZ-655. Products bearing the mark inspire trust in the customer who knows he can totally rely on them.

No wonder then that producers are proud when their products are allowed to bear the quality mark.

The new quality assurance: RAL-GZ 656

Next to the RAL-GZ 655 the RAL-GZ 656 for "fired proofed pipe fixing" became valid in October 2010. On its base the technical efficiency of pipe clamps in a case of fire can be judged quality assured. The RAL-GZ 656 realizes to dertermine max. loads in the case of fire, without dependence of manufacturers and testing institutes.

MEFA Befestigungs- und Montagesysteme GmbH is a member of the Gütegemeinschaft Rohrbefestigung e.V. Furthermore one of MEFA´s general manager, Martin Schneider is a chairman of the Gütegemeinschaft and MEFA is deeply involved in the sector soundproofing, marketing and fire protection.

MEFA is one member of the Gütegemeinschaft with the highest quantity  of quality assured products (also MEFA was the first member which was able to proof the quality assured connection technology).
