Since 1970, Earth Day has been a global event that takes place every year on April 22 and is intended to inspire people all over the world to take action to protect the environment. The motto for this year's Earth Day is: "Water makes life possible - nothing works without water!" People are using this day to draw attention to the importance of environmental protection and sustainability. We would also like to take this opportunity, because climate change affects us all.

We have been operating in the renewable energy market with multiQ (formerly MEFA energy systems) under this motto since 2009, using cost-efficient, environmentally conscious and customized systems for heating and cooling residential and non-residential buildings. The innovative and regenerative systems can also be used in new builds and renovations. The focus here is on "environmental heat". By using special, thin and lightweight mats made of recyclable plastic (PP), the respective environmental heat and/or waste heat source is used efficiently. In order to become independent of oil and gas, regenerative energy sources like sun, wind, rain, ice, geothermal energy, groundwater and process heat can be used together with brine heat pumps and low-temperature heating systems. On the occasion of Earth Day, we would like to focus in particular on multiQ water.

Our surface waters are generally far too warm because of the wastewater discharges. The multiQ water heat exchanger uses flowing water even at low temperatures and provides the heat pump with an ideal source energy temperatures. Using the heat from the water cools it and is therefore an extra benefit for the environment. The heat generated massively reduces the use of fossil fuels. A unique feature of our maintenance-free solution is that different sources can be combined. The systems can be designed as monovalent energy systems or used in bivalent systems in combination with other heat generators. By combining them with PV modules, a high level of self-consumption can be achieved.
